Sharing Session “Why Study at Korea” at UPJ: Explore Study Opportunities at Namseoul University with William

Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) hosted an insightful sharing session titled “Why Study in Korea: A Journey of Education and Opportunity at Namseoul University”, featuring William Superman, Country Director of Namseoul University Indonesia. Held in UPJ’s Library, Building B, 4th Floor, the event introduced students to exciting educational and career pathways in South Korea.

“Korea places immense importance on education. The majority of its citizens hold at least a D3 or S1 degree—remarkably, even taxi drivers and janitors are highly educated. This reflects how deeply education fuels the nation’s advancement,” William explained.

Highlighting the strong ties between Korea and Indonesia, he shared that over 3,000 Korean companies operate in Indonesia, employing approximately 900,000 local workers. Proficiency in Korean and academic experience in Korea significantly enhance job prospects in both Korean and multinational firms, offering students a competitive edge in the global workforce.

Exclusive Programs for UPJ Students

As part of a broader effort to expand student opportunities and skill development, Namseoul University, in collaboration with UPJ, has introduced three key programs:

  1. K-Dream Korean Language Class A 12-week online course, taught by native Korean instructors, aimed at improving linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding.

  2. K-Beauty Class A one-week program focused on Korean skincare techniques and beauty trends, providing hands-on insights into Korea’s thriving beauty industry.

  3. NSU Exchange Program An exciting Fall 2025 semester student exchange opportunity, allowing UPJ students to immerse themselves in Korea’s academic and cultural landscape. Applications for this prestigious program are open from May 12 to June 13, 2025, with specific eligibility requirements.
