Bintaro, South Tangerang, 07/05/2025Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) Hosts The 2nd HUMANIS Festival 2025, Strengthening the Synergy Between Education and Industry

Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) proudly presented the 2nd HUMANIS Festival 2025, an annual event dedicated to fostering creativity, education, and competition among high school students across Jabodetabek. Organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Business (FHB), this year's festival was enriched through a strategic collaboration with BXSea Bintaro Jaya—an indoor oceanarium at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall—under the theme “Creating Marketing Strategies for BXSea Bintaro Jaya.”

Bridging academia with real-world industry, the festival provided students with a dynamic and experiential learning environment. Two flagship competitions took place simultaneously at Theater Room 1 and 2, Building A, 4th Floor of UPJ, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025: the Marketing Competition and the Debate Competition. A total of 15 high school teams engaged in crafting innovative marketing strategies for BXSea, gaining valuable firsthand insights through immersive visits to the oceanarium and in-depth discussions with its management team. In parallel, 8 teams participated in the Debate Competition, refining their skills in critical thinking, persuasive public communication, and logical argumentation.

"This year, with BXSea's support, we embrace the concept of education, engagement, and entertainment. The HUMANIS Festival 2025 is designed to be both applicable and enjoyable," stated Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., Rector of UPJ. He further emphasized UPJ’s commitment to building a high-quality learning ecosystem by forging collaborations with various industries to create relevant and innovative educational experiences, empowering Indonesia’s next generation to confidently navigate future challenges.

BXSea, in turn, continues to strengthen its role beyond recreation, evolving as a center for oceanographic education and community engagement. Sri Agung Agus, Oceanarium Manager at PT Jaya Real Property, Tbk, remarked, "BXSea is ready to support positive and constructive initiatives. We strive not only to be a leisure destination but also a knowledge hub that enhances oceanographic awareness among the public."

Echoing the festival's educational mission, Dr. Yohanes Totok Suyoto, S.S., M.Sc., CPMA, Vice Dean of UPJ’s Faculty of Humanities and Business, expressed his aspirations for inclusive collaboration, stating, “Through synergizing with various stakeholders, UPJ aims to establish an ecosystem that integrates academic excellence with industry dynamics, ensuring meaningful and impactful learning experiences for students and the broader society.”

The HUMANIS Festival exemplifies UPJ’s vision as an adaptive, collaborative, and forward-thinking university, continuously innovating to meet the evolving demands of education and industry. As an initiative of UPJ’s Faculty of Humanities and Business, the festival reinforces the importance of learning beyond theoretical concepts, fostering direct engagement with real-world applications.
