Universitas Pembangunan Jaya Conducts Structured Internship Onboarding for 55 Students at JAYA Group

Bintaro, South Tangerang 13/01/2025 - Fifty-five enthusiastic students from Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) have officially embarked on their structured internship onboarding program at JAYA Group. This initiative exemplifies UPJ's unwavering commitment to equipping its students with invaluable professional work experience, fostered through a strategic and dynamic partnership with JAYA Group.   

During this onboarding session, Dr. Ronald Maraden Parlindungan Silalahi, S.S., M.Hum., Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), delivered a comprehensive presentation evaluating the Structured Internship activities previously conducted. 'Internship activities are not merely an avenue to apply theoretical knowledge gained on campus, but they also cultivate essential soft skills vital in the professional world, such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability in new environments. These skills equip students to navigate various challenges and make significant contributions at their respective internship sites,' he noted..  

UPJ Rector, Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the students selected for this prestigious program. 'Every student at UPJ is given the priority to gain internship experience with JAYA Group. Such an opportunity is exceptionally rare and hard to come by at other institutions. As part of the JAYA Group, I encourage you to embrace and make the most of this invaluable experience fully,' he stated.  

Additionally, the UPJ Rector underscored the significance of evaluation throughout the internship process. 'From the various evaluation points provided by JAYA Group, I urge you to embrace the positive feedback to foster your development and disregard the negative aspects. This structured internship program stands as one of UPJ's flagship initiatives, incorporating concepts successfully implemented in developed countries such as Canada through the JCC (Jaya Career Center),' he emphasized. 

"This marks the dawn of a new era for UPJ, and I am optimistic that both the JCC and our structured internship program will continue to improve and thrive in the future," he added.  

Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Agustinus Agus Setiawan, S.T., M.T., IPM, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to JAYA Group. 'We extend our sincere thanks to JAYA Group for offering our students invaluable opportunities to learn and grow. We trust that our students will uphold the integrity of UPJ throughout their internships,' he concluded. 

Apprentice student, Mariin M. Ghanilowe, expressed her gratitude for this invaluable opportunity. 'I extend my heartfelt thanks to JAYA Group for this incredible chance. We are dedicated to continually learning and growing, and to making meaningful contributions both to the company and to our personal development,' she stated.
