UPJ Visual Communication Design Study Program Students Participate in ICCF 2024 with Tangsel MSME Design Exhibition
Bintaro, South Tangerang, 17/12/2024 - Indonesia Creative Cities Festival (ICCF) 2024 which was held in South Tangerang became a memorable event for students of Visual Communication Design Study Program (DKV) Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ). They took part in this event by opening an exhibition stand for the design of South Tangerang MSME products.
With the theme “Resilient Communities, Sustainable Communities”, this national-scale festival took place on December 12-15, 2024. As the host, South Tangerang City provides a stage for artists, creative communities, and national figures to collaborate in the development of the creative industry. The UPJ DKV student booth is one of the attractions at this festival, especially since UPJ is the only university that appears in this event, UPJ DKV Study Program displays various innovative design works to support the promotion of local MSME products in South Tangerang.
The booth of UPJ DKV students located in the Tangsel UMKM Gallery displays creative design works, ranging from product packaging, branding, to interactive promotional media. One of the DKV students as well as an exhibitor, stated, “We want to show that design is not only a matter of aesthetics, but also a strategy to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in the market.” he said.

Visitors to the DKV UPJ student stand were very enthusiastic. The visitors and also some Tangsel MSME players appreciated the design concept that was not only visually appealing, but also relevant to the business needs of MSMEs.
The participation of DKV UPJ students in ICCF 2024 emphasizes their commitment to the development of the creative industry, especially in South Tangerang. Retno Purwanti M. S.Sn., M.Ds. as Head of the DKV Study Program, stated, “Through active participation in ICCF 2024, UPJ DKV students not only learn to apply their design knowledge, but also have a positive impact on the development of local MSMEs.”
With the spirit of collaboration and innovation, UPJ students hope to continue to be part of creative solutions to encourage sustainable growth of the creative economy.
