Indonesia Meeting Cybersecurity for All 2024 (CS4ALL): Building Cyber Resilience Amid Global Threats
South Tangerang– The Train-the-Trainer and Indonesia Meeting Cybersecurity for All 2024 (CS4ALL) officially took place from September 23 to 27, 2024. This event is part of activities supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aimed at enhancing information technology resilience amidst the increasingly complex threats in the cyber world. Participants included academics from Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ), IPB University, and representatives from various universities and NGOs from India, Nepal, Croatia, Cyprus, and Spain.
The event was officially opened by UPJ's Rector, Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., and Dr. Arun Malik, a representative from Lovely Professional University, India. Both emphasized the importance of cross-country collaboration in strengthening cybersecurity. CS4ALL is designed as a capacity-building platform for academics and professionals. The five-day event included curriculum development for cybersecurity education, micro-credential certification, project management, and discussions on challenges and solutions in information security.
Held in a hybrid and in-person format, participants were involved in a series of meetings, workshops, and site visits to various strategic locations, including Universitas Pembangunan Jaya in Bintaro Jaya and IPB University in Bogor. "With the rise of cybercrime, companies and organizations must be prepared to face these challenges. CS4ALL provides us with an opportunity to share knowledge and prepare for increasingly sophisticated cyber threats," said Dr. Arun Malik in his speech.
Additionally, the event served as an important milestone for enhancing the competencies of academics in developing certification programs and practical training for cybersecurity, ensuring they are equipped to provide students with the necessary skills for the future. The CS4ALL Indonesia Meeting 2024 was fully organized by the Departments of Informatics and Information Systems under the direction of Dr. Ida Nurhaida, S.T., M.T., Head of the Informatics Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya.
