IDDAKAURI UPJ Builds Ciampea Udik Village through UMKM Digitization and Madrasa Revitalization
Bintaro, South Tangerang, 17/07/2024 – Student Activity Unit Dari Kami Untuk Negeri (DAKAURI) of Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) once again organized the DAKAURI Building Village (DAMBADES) work program for 2024. This year’s DAMBADES focuses on Ciampea Udik Village, Kampung Caringin Jangkung, and was held for 8 days from July 1 to July 8, 2024.
This year's DAMBADES program focuses on two main initiatives: digitizing UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and revitalizing Madrasah Al-Arsaniah. The goal is to create a digital-based ecosystem for UMKM and revitalize the madrasa to provide a new and comfortable atmosphere for students.
The UMKM digitization program began with an introduction to e-commerce and practical training on creating Shopee seller accounts. The entrepreneurs of Ciampea Udik Village were also taught digital literacy by Chaerul Anwar, S.Kom., M.T.I., a lecturer of Information System Department and mentor of Dakauri. He emphasized the importance of understanding the purpose and proper use of the digital world to avoid fraud.
The program then focused on product photography techniques to display products professionally, marketing knowledge with practical training on creating business points on Google Maps, and a review of the material.
“My hope is that after the UMKM digitization program, the community can improve their marketing and independently expand the digitization of their businesses,” said Ananta at the closing of the UMKM digitization program.
The Madrasah Al-Arsaniah revitalization program aims to create a comfortable learning environment for students. Revitalization activities include infrastructure improvements, such as repainting, roof repairs, and toilet renovations.
Additionally, the program provides new books for the madrasa library and conducts training for teachers to improve the quality of education.
The DAMBADES program is expected to positively impact Ciampea Udik Village by:
- Enhancing the digital skills of UMKM entrepreneurs to improve their product marketing.
- Improving the quality of education at Madrasah Al-Arsaniah to provide better education for students.
- Raising the living standards of the Ciampea Udik Village community.
DAKAURI UPJ is committed to serving the community through various work programs, such as DAMBADES. This program is one of UPJ's contributions to developing villages and improving community welfare.
