Signing of the Collaboration Agreement between UPJ Faculty of Humanities and Business and the House of Knowledge Community Learning Center

Bintaro, South Tangerang, 07/06/2024 - The Faculty of Humanities and Business at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) has officially partnered with the House of Knowledge (HoK) Community Learning Center. The event took place at the UPJ campus in South Tangerang and marked a significant step in enhancing education, research, and community service efforts.

The ceremony was attended by UPJ's Rector, Ir. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D., along with staff from the UPJ Psychology Department. Fransisda Tiodora Ferdiansyah, S.Psi., MM., a psychologist and coordinator of the HoK, also attended with her staff. In his opening remarks, the Rector expressed his hope that this collaboration would foster strong synergy between educational institutions, particularly in South Tangerang.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to enhance learning through various academic and non-academic programs. Additionally, the UPJ Psychology Department has prepared several students for internship programs at the HoK. This internship is expected to provide students with hands-on experience and the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained from their coursework, thereby ensuring that community service has a tangible positive impact on the wider community. "Hopefully, this collaboration will help develop a mindset that gradually increases UPJ's contribution to the surrounding community and professional organizations. I hope the psychology program can realize this through our partnership activities," he stated.

HoK coordinator Fransisda Tiodora Ferdiansyah, S.Psi., MM., Psychologist, introduced his team and outlined the activities that HoK has conducted. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with UPJ. "This HoK learning center operates Monday to Friday, just like regular schools. Unlike formal schools, our classes are smaller with only 20 children per class. This memorandum of understanding strengthens our cooperation," he said.

The UPJ Psychology Department hopes that this partnership will significantly contribute to education, research, and community service. We are committed to continued collaboration with various parties to achieve shared goals and provide broad benefits to society.
