Bintaro, South Tangerang, 25/05/2024 - The Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the capacity of student organizations through a series of development processes implemented by higher education institutions. This program is an integrated part of the community service and empowerment efforts carried out by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs.

This year, the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs received a total of 2,289 subproposals from 359 higher education institutions across Indonesia. Out of this number, 676 subproposals successfully passed the rigorous selection stage. Universitas Pembangunan Jaya (UPJ) demonstrated excellence in this selection process by successfully advancing a group from the Civil Engineering Student Association.

This achievement is a tangible proof of UPJ's commitment to supporting innovation and the development of student potential in various fields.

The proposal promises to develop entrepreneurial potential in Tajurhalang Village, Bogor through the innovative "BUAH MENGKUDU" program, which aims to build businesses and improve the overall quality of village MSMEs.

Ananda Taufik, the chairman of PPK Ormawa and a student of the Civil Engineering Program, expressed, "Through this activity, we, together with the local community, want to develop the entrepreneurial potential in Tajurhalang Village, Bogor, through an innovative program we call 'BUAH MENGKUDU,'" he said.

UPJ's success in advancing this proposal not only strengthens their position as an educational institution oriented towards student potential development but also makes a significant contribution to community development.

"We highly appreciate the students' ideas as this is the second time the Civil Engineering Student Association has passed the PPK Ormawa selection. This program is excellent for increasing the capacity of student organizations while directly impacting the community," added Dr. Ir. Agustinus Agus Setiawan, S.T., M.T., IPM., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at UPJ, who also serves as the mentor for the PPK Ormawa group.
