Ahok Inaugurated RPTRA Bintaro Permai
The governor of Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Ir. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama., MM inaugurated the Integrated Child Friendly Public Spaces (RPTRA) Bintaro, Jalan Bintaro Permai III, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. The inauguration of this RPTRA was attended also by the Rector of UPJ, Mrs. Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D and the Chairman of Jaya Education Foundation, Ir. Tony R. Soehartono, MM., CRMP. UPJ team's presence at the inauguration was due to the fact that UPJ is one of the universities involved insocial mapping.
Mr. Basuki who is more intimately Mr. Ahok, said that RPTRA Permai is not as large as other RPTRAs, but RPTRA Permai seemed to be larger because it is adjacent to sport centre facilities owned by local residents. Besides, the location is known as the People’s Hall. "Although it is not large but the actual purpose of this RPTRA is large because there are Sport Centre and People’s Hall near it. Do not just look at its 550-meter-width," said Mr. Ahok.
Mr. Ahok expected such public facilities would be utilized by people to care for each other. The chiefs of Neighborhood Association Units (RT / RW) should be able to become parents for their residents. "This program is designed to enable you to look after your neighbors and make sure who are here today but are absent the next day. If there are people missing, you must try to find them, “he further said.
With an area of 550 square meters, RPTRA Permai has got a multipurpose room, a library, a lactation room, and outdoor games facility for children. Provincial Government of Special Capital Region (DKI Jakarta) was targeting to inaugurate 63 RPTRAs until the end of the year. Meanwhile, until next year the Government has planned to establish at least 150 RPTRAs. Before the event was closed, Mr. Ahok was meeting with local residents, especially with children who have been able to use RPTRA facilities.
