ARCH + WORK: Sequence and Transition Space in Architectural Design and 3D Modelling
UPJ Architecture held a Public Lecture & Workshop entitled "ARCH + WORK: Sequence and Transition Space in Architectural Design and 3D Modelling" Thursday, November 26, 2015. Ir. Emirhadi Suganda, M.Sc. as vice-rector of UPJ started the opening event with a speech to the UPJ Architecture Students and high school students that were invited specifically. In his speech, Prof. Emir expected high school students to get an overview of the architecture. Then the show begins immediately to the delivery of primary material given by the President Commissioner of PT. ARKONIN Mr. Ir. H. Achmad Noerzaman, MM who is also a senior architect in Indonesia. As an introduction a bit about architecture he showed a wide variety of architectural buildings such as the world-famous Opera House in Sydney, Tokyo Tower, the Eiffel Tower, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and others - others. He also had time to show what has been done by PT. ARKONIN as well as Trans Studio Bandung, Ciputra World Surabaya, Plaza Indonesia Extension, Ancol Bay City, and one project under construction is the MRT station Block M. In his lecture he explained that being an architect is not easy because it takes courage and love to his chosen profession.
The event was followed by a question and answer session with Mr. Achmad. Students and students seemed eager to take turns asking questions. In the last session, all high school students are given the opportunity to learn how to assemble the building using 3D Modelling. The enthusiasm of the students seem so high in trying to assemble the building that had been prepared for each group
