The Inauguration of New Rector of the University Of Pembangunan Jaya

To coincide with the event Anniversary 4, UPJ also held an inauguration and handover Rector UPJ service period 2015 - 2019.

UPJ stepped into the age of 4 on September 3, 2015. To coincide with the event Anniversary 4, UPJ also held an inauguration and handover Rector UPJ service period 2015 - 2019. After going through a long selection process by Jaya Education Foundation, the elected new rector Mrs. Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D Rector UPJ period 2015- 2019 replaces Prof. Ir. Gunawan Tjahjono, Ph.D., M.Arch.

In his speech, Prof. Ir. Gunawan Tjahjono, Ph.D., M.Arch said the achievements of the University Of Pembangunan Jaya should be maintained and further improved. The increase in new admissions FY 2015-2016 are evidence that the UPJ has gained the trust of the public. UPJ all graduates have had an uncertain future, 53% of the first batch of graduates work in Jaya Group while the rest chose to work in other companies, be entrepreneurs and continuing education to S2.

Once sworn in, Mrs. Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D familiarly called Mrs. Shinta describes his first speech as president with the title The People Of Pembangunan Jaya. Some of the points put forward is statistical data comparing the progress of South Korea and Ghana are determined by culture and education that emphasizes values and norms through education to create "the right people with the right values and the right skills" as a Jaya’s people. With the motto of Integrity, professional and entrepreneurial (IPE) at UPJ education should be implemented in totality to surely contributed for human development, after the Jaya Group for more than 50 years has contributed to the development of infrastructure in DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas. Now it's time to contributed in human development and science and technology through the UPJ.

Mrs. Shinta is an academic and researcher in chemistry of natural materials, he graduated Master and Doctorate at Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan. Doing some post doctoral activity in Japan, America. English and German. Since 2011 until now he has served as Humboldt Ambassador Scientist of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Germany to Indonesia. He is also a regional expert and trainer for various capacity building activities for ASEAN funded by DAAD Germany.
